Marathon Preko – Zadar
One of the oldest marathons in Croatia organized by the Zadar Swimming Club. The first marathon Preko - Zadar was held on 4 September 1973, and for years the marathon is held on the anniversary of the military-police operation Storm, on August 5, on the anniversary of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day. Start is on the riva (waterfront) in Preko and finish is at the pool of the swim centre Kolovare in Zadar. The marathon brings together both professionals and amateurs, all age groups can participate, and the route is approximately five kilometres long.
